Archbishop John Wilson will be celebrating Mass for Racial Justice Sunday at St George's Cathedral on Sunday 16 February 2025. He will also be blessing a new Cathedral statue, of St Josephine Bakhita.
More information on St. Josephine can be found via the link here.
Racial Justice Sunday is the day the Church focuses on the need to oppose racism and celebrates the diversity we are blessed with in the Archdiocese. A second collection will be taken next Sunday to support this valuable work. People are encouraged to wear national dress. For those who cannot attend in person, the service will be livestreamed on our YouTube channel.
There will be a reception following the Mass.
The Mass is organised as part of the work by the Commission for Promoting Racial and Cultural inclusion, you can find out more about their work here.
