St George’s Cathedral, Southwark, formally the Metropolitan Cathedral Church of St George, is the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Southwark, which covers the London boroughs south of the Thames, the county of Kent and the Medway Unitary Authority.

St George's Cathedral has a well-established musical tradition, with a diversity of styles represented at the different Masses, ranging from congregational hymns and Mass settings at the 10am Family Mass sung by the Cathedral Consort youth choir, through plainsong and polyphony at the 12pm Solemn Mass sung by the Cathedral Choir of choristers and lay clerks. There is also a Junior Choir for younger children and the Cathedral runs the Southwark Singing Programme.

Fr Jake Dicto RIP - Requiem Mass

Bishop Paul Hendricks will be presiding at Fr Jake Dicto's Requiem Mass this Monday, 1.30pm, followed by a Reception in the Amigo Hall.

Fr Jake of Filippino descent was a much-loved priest who worked for many years as a hospital Chaplain. May he rest in peace and rise to glory.
