Following the relaxation of some Covid regulations from 17 May, St George’s will usually be open from 7.15am until 5pm Monday to Friday.

The confessional boxes, with COVID precautions are now back in use. A face covering must still be worn, unless exempt, whilst you are in the cathedral. Please sanitise your hands on entry and exit.
From Saturday 12 June the Saturday 6pm Vigil Mass will return. Confessions will be available from 5pm until 5.50pm. Sunday Masses will continue to be at 8am, 10am (Family), 12noon (Solemn) and 6pm. A full schedule of Mass times and opening hours is available on the Services page.
Stewards
We are immensely grateful to all those who generously gave their time to be stewards, enabling us to be open for Mass. The changes in COVID precautions mean that stewards are only required for the 10am and 12noon Sunday Masses and other Masses where there is a large congregation. If you are able to steward and/or help with cleaning after Mass please contact the cathedral office or speak to one of the priests.
NHS Track and Trace
We continue to advise visitors to use the NHS COVID-19 mobile app to check-in using the QR code displayed at the entreance to the Cathedral.
You may also continue to use the paper based system to register your details, a slip is available in the cathedral or you can download and print (PDF). It will be kept securely for 21 days and then destroyed. One slip needs to be completed for each visit by every individual or household group.
Registering details is not compulsory for places of worship but everyone is encouraged to register their details in order to help society beat this virus.
Other information
Hand sanitiser will be available to use when you arrive and when you leave. The seating has been changed to enable social distancing so please only sit in allocated places. People from the same household may sit together.
Please respect two metre social distancing at all times and follow the requests of the stewards or the signage.
Toilets will usually be open when we are open for Mass.
