On New Year’s Eve the clergy and lay clerks of the Cathedral will be celebrating Solemn First Vespers of the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God at 6pm.
This is an opportunity to ask Our Lady’s prayers for the year ahead, and acknowledge blessings received in 2021. A Te Deum will be prayed in thanksgiving, for which a plenary indulgence may be gained under the usual conditions.
