We are happy to be able to announce that we have reached our goal in fundraising for the statue of St Anthony of Padua.
Your enthusiasm, generosity, and devotion made it possible for the Cathedral to acquire the antique carved wooden statue, 1.5m in height, that we had hoped to buy – a beautiful work of art which will honour St Anthony after the attack on our previous statue. The statue will now travel from South Tyrol to the UK; details of its arrival will be published in the coming weeks.
