Since 23 April this year fell within the Easter Octave, our celebrations of St George’s Day have been transferred to the Tuesday of the following week.
We begin with Solemn First Vespers (sung) of the Feast of St George at 6pm on Monday 25 April. In addition to the usual 7.30am and 12.30pm Masses, we will have a Solemn Mass (sung) at 6pm on Tuesday 26 April which will be celebrated by Archbishop John Wilson with the Cathedral’s Chapter of Canons.
This Mass will be followed by veneration of the Cathedral’s relic of St George.
