Traditionally the collection taken on Christmas Day together with anything placed in the Christmas Offering Envelopes are your personal gift to the clergy of the cathedral.
As you know, the obligation to attend Mass has been suspended and you may fulfil your Christmas obligation at any time during the Christmas Octave. This year, all of the collections (including electronic giving) which are taken on each of the days within the Octave of the Nativity of the Lord and up to and including 6 January 2021, will constitute the personal Christmas offerings of the faithful for their priests. All crib donations this year will go to the Catholic Children’s Society.
