We are delighted that St George’s Cathedral is open for individual visits for personal prayer from Monday 15 June and we look forward to welcoming you.
(This page contains out of date information, for the latest, please go to www.stgeorgescathedral.org.uk/coronavirus)
The cathedral is open every day but the times may vary and will be advertised outside the cathedral and here on our website.
Hand sanitiser will be available to use when you arrive and when you leave. The seating has been changed to enable social distancing so please only sit in allocated places. People from the same household may sit together.
Because of the necessary seating changes, the cathedral capacity has been drastically reduced and we can now only accommodate 185 people at any one time. Should that limit be reached you will be asked to wait outside until a space becomes available.
Please respect two metre social distancing at all times and follow the requests of the stewards and the signage.
We regret that toilet facilities will not be available.
Cathedral Opening Times
Monday to Friday 7.30am-9.30am & 12noon-2pm
Saturday 10am-12noon
Sunday 2pm-4pm
Other Coronavirus information:
St George’s Cathedral has been closed for public worship since the instruction given by the government on 24th March.
This has been extremely difficult for our parishioners and the clergy, however, the priests of the cathedral have continued, and will continue, to celebrate Masses privately each day.
Masses may still be booked for specific intentions. We may be contacted to arrange Mass intentions by email or by telephone.
