On Wednesday 2 February we celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, also known as “Candlemas”.
This latter name is given because it is traditionally the day on which candles are blessed at Masses; if you have candles you would like blessed, please bring them to either the 7.30am Mass or the 12.30pm Mass, where further guidance will be given. It is also the last day on which we will have the crib on display in our Cathedral… until next Christmas.
