Wednesday 2 March is Ash Wednesday, a day of fasting and abstinence, and the beginning of the season of Lent. Ashes will be distributed at all Masses: 7.30am, 12.30pm, and 6pm.

The evening Mass will be a Sung Solemn Mass celebrated by Archbishop John Wilson. In response to the Holy Father’s call for Ash Wednesday to be a special day of prayer and fasting for world peace, Archbishop Wilson will lead a one-hour period of Adoration immediately after the Solemn Mass, concluding with Benediction.
