St George’s Cathedral, Southwark, formally the Metropolitan Cathedral Church of St George, is the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Southwark, which covers the London boroughs south of the Thames, the county of Kent and the Medway Unitary Authority.

Music
St George's Cathedral has a well-established musical tradition, with a diversity of styles represented at the different Masses, ranging from congregational hymns and Mass settings at the 10am Family Mass sung by the Cathedral Consort youth choir, through plainsong and polyphony at the 12pm Solemn Mass sung by the Cathedral Choir of choristers and lay clerks. There is also a Junior Choir for younger children and the Cathedral runs the Southwark Singing Programme.

Cathedral Seniors Group

On Friday 14 October, we have our next Cathedral Seniors social after the 12.30pm Mass in the Amigo Hall (upstairs).

An opportunity to get to know one another over tea/coffee, sandwiches and home baking. We are delighted that Fr Michael Branch, our Dean, will be coming to speak to us and get to know our group.
