Music, Liturgy & Prayer

Cathedral Music

The Cathedral has a well-established choral tradition and uns a diocesan schools singing programme. For more information on music at the Cathedral, visit the Music pages.

Children's Sunday Liturgy

Our Children's Liturgy is for all children aged between 4 and 9. The aim of the group is to provide the children with an adapted Liturgy of the Word during the 10am Family Mass on Sundays during the school term. During the sessions, the children read, discuss and reflect on the Gospel before taking part in an activity arising from it such as drawing, singing, drama or role play. Children’s Liturgy of the Word usually lasts between 20-25 minutes and ends with the children returning to the main body of the Cathedral in time for the Offertory Procession.

If you would like to register your child, please click here or collect a form at the 10am Mass.

Discipleship Prayer Group

All are welcome to attend the Discipleship Prayer Group which takes place on Tuesdays at 7:00pm during term time. The focus is to build on recent Life in the Spirit seminars and to help participants to grow in their faith and discern their spiritual gifts and callings to serve in the Church. Each meeting involves praise and worship, teaching input, small group sharing and prayer ministry. For more information, please complete this short form.

St George’s Cathedral Community Fridge

St George’s Cathedral is helping the local community cope with the cost-of-living crisis at the same time as preventing tonnes of good food going to waste with the Friday breakfast club (10am to 12pm) and Community Fridge (12pm to 1pm), run in partnership with the Oasis Community.

For more information or to volunteer, please contact Diane Blackler, mobile 07378 193342, email: di.blackler@oasiswaterloo.org

St Vincent De Paul Group

We have a small but enthusiastic group of parishioners who work together to help those in need - the lonely and isolated or those who don't have enough food to eat or even a home to live in.

You could help this vital work by joining the parish SVP group and giving a little of your time to helping others. For more information, please complete this short form.
