We always need volunteers to help the work of the cathedral in a variety of ways.
Volunteers help us as welcomers, servers, readers, flower arrangers, sacristans, cleaners, tour guides, catechists, administrators, to name but a few.
We also have a Volunteer Choir that sings at times when the cathedral choir is on holiday. See the section on Choir & Music.
Volunteering is not restricted to parishioners; anyone who has time to spare is welcome.

The Friends of St George's
The Friends of St George's is made up of people from all over the country (and indeed beyond) who want to support the work of the cathedral and help maintain our beautiful place of worship for years to come.
Friends are invited to attend the annual St George's Day Mass and are informed of cathedral events. Many Friends get involved as volunteers.
If you would like to know more about becoming a Friend of St George's download the application form here, or email: email@example.com.
St George’s Cathedral is part of the Archdiocese of Southwark, a registered charity (no. 235468).
